Dear St. Paul congregation:
The call committee is delaying the Call Meeting previously scheduled for March 17, 2019.
Of the 13 candidates on the list provided by the District, (5) immediately withdrew from consideration. (3) others either were not a good match for our congregation, were in the middle of managing building programs or already considering a call from another congregation.
The remaining (5) candidates, whom we interviewed, either did not fit our profile or had issues that would keep them at their current call/congregation.
We have reviewed our status with our Circuit Visitor and District President who are in agreement and we have requested a new candidate list while recommending some new additional potential candidates.
Though we have experienced a slight delay in calling a new pastor, we remain confident that this process is entirely in God’s hands.
We also rejoice in having Pastor Bob Riggs to shepherd us through this interim period. God is good!
Please pray that we will act according to God’s will to find the man whom He has determined to next lead our congregation.

Early Communion Faith Milestone
As part of our Faith Milestones, St. Paul encourages those children who are ready to receive the Lord’s Supper before they are confirmed, an opportunity for parent/child workshops to learn about the Sacrament. Many children are ready to receive the Lord’s Supper in upper elementary when they understand these words, “given and shed for you.” Typically, children are often ready at 4th grade. Those who are interested in attending these series of workshops should see Miriam or email her at firstname.lastname@example.org. The workshops will be on March 3, 10, and April 14 from 4:30-6 pm. The Faith Milestone Blessing will be at the Maundy Thursday service on April 18th at 7 pm. Or sign up here: https://goo.gl/forms/I0o4vaPQvk4f1dcj1
