Spiritual Oversight

Dear St. Paul congregation:

The call committee is delaying the Call Meeting previously scheduled for March 17, 2019.

Why?

Of the 13 candidates on the list provided by the District, (5) immediately withdrew from consideration. (3) others either were not a good match for our congregation, were in the middle of managing building programs or already considering a call from another congregation.

The remaining (5) candidates, whom we interviewed, either did not fit our profile or had issues that would keep them at their current call/congregation.

We have reviewed our status with our Circuit Visitor and District President who are in agreement and we have requested a new candidate list while recommending some new additional potential candidates.

Though we have experienced a slight delay in calling a new pastor, we remain confident that this process is entirely in God’s hands.

We also rejoice in having Pastor Bob Riggs to shepherd us through this interim period. God is good!

Please pray that we will act according to God’s will to find the man whom He has determined to next lead our congregation.

Sincerely,

The St. Paul Pastoral Call Committee
