Voter’s Meeting

Today at 9:45 am, between services, there will be a voters meeting. This will be our routine summer meeting.

Spiritual Oversight

Monday Night Worship

Is your summer hectic? Are you finding yourself rushing here and there with plans every weekend? Join us on Monday nights at 7:00 for a chance to catch your breath and remind yourself what is really important – worshipping God.

Christian Education

Education Hour – 9:45 am-10:45 am Sunday

Plan to join us during the Education Hour this week. We provide opportunities for people of all ages to read and inwardly digest the true promises of God revealed in the Bible.

Summer Sunday School

John the Baptist appears in this week’s Sunday School lesson, “John Tells People to Repent.” As they study this Bible account, students will learn how God wants them to be sorry for their sins and seek His forgiveness. Consider these discussion questions: “How did John call the people to repent of their sins? What was John preparing them for? Who calls us to repent?”

We Still Need Teachers

There are only a few more weeks of summer classes. We need a few more teachers. If you can help in August, please sign up in the fellowship hall or here: https://tinyurl.com/y8urybk2

Sunday Morning Bible Study

Due to the Voters meeting, there will be no bible study this week. Pastor Riggs will resume the adult Bible study next week July 29. It would be great to see you there! Promises he wants to make to everyone, especially if you have not been in Bible study for a while. (1) You will never be called on to read—volunteers might read but no one will be asked to read who did not volunteer. (2) page numbers will be given to easily move to the Scripture we are discussing. (3) Sundays leading up to September will be “self-contained”. If you cannot be with us on one Sunday it will not Impact the next. Next week’s topic—2 John.

Christian Hymns for the Season of Pentecost will be explored at Fresh Brew

The hymns of the church convene the messages of God’s of Word. For the next several weeks we will look at some of the hymns, the word, the message, the context, the authorship and application to our lives today. Today we look at the hymn, “It Is Well With My Soul.” Fresh Brew meets at 7:30 am on Sundays in the large fellowship hall.

Monday Women’s Bible Study

We will not meet tomorrow, July 23. See you at Vacation Bible School. We will gather next on July 30.

Men’s Saturday Morning Bible Study

Men enjoy a healthy breakfast. We have been working on a new study titled, “Discipleship Explored.” The study is based on Paul’s letter to the brothers and sisters in Philippi, and we have just begun. It is a great time to join this group. We meet Saturday mornings at 8:30 am. See you next Saturday, July 28.

Family Ministry

Kids’ Connection During the 11 am Divine Service

This is a time for 3-year-olds through 2nd-grade students during the 11:00 am Divine Service. This week we will look at the story “Gods Wonderful Surprise” found in Matthew 28, Mark 16, Luke 24 and John 20. Children leave for Kids’ Connection after the children’s message and return when the offering is received so that they may participate in a blessing at Holy Communion as well as the close of the worship service.
