Spiritual Oversight

Military Bible Sticks

We would like to thank the congregation for its generous support of the Military Bible sticks program.  $2200 was donated. A generous donor connected to this ministry offered to match all funds in November. 176 Bible Sticks will be given to military chapels. Please continue to remember in our prayers those who serve our country and keep us safe.

Special Appeal

If you are in the position to give an extra gift as 2019 closes, it will be greatly appreciated. It’s projected that, without this appeal, we would close the year with offerings that would be 95% of the amount of our expenditures, which comes out to about $15,000. If you cannot give a special gift, please remember our church family in our prayers.

Children’s Christmas Program

Find out what it means to Behold the Child at the children’s Christmas service on Sunday, December 15, at 11 am. Children will help us behold the child Jesus through songs and readings. Come and discover together! The youth will provide special music during this program.

Christian Education

Sunday School Classes

Preschool through 6th grade meet in the lower level for an opening beginning at 9:45 am. Following the opening, classes convene in various classrooms in the lower level. This week will continue with the story Baby Moses.

Christmas Program Rehearsals

We practice at the beginning of the Education Hour for about 10-15 minutes. Please plan to attend. Also, we will have one larger practice on Saturday, December 7, from 9:30-11:15.

Advent in a Box

Pick up some advent resources – ADVENT IN A BOX – for all households! These resources are designed to provide faith at home resources to support, love, and connect families. While time spent at church is precious, it is never enough to convey the wonder, mystery, and importance of the Christmas story.   Advent in a Box provides an opportunity for families to spend time talking and living faith at home, a key factor for creating a faith that sticks beyond high school.  Our hope is that you are able to spend a few moments each week focusing on the purpose of the season.

Instrumental Ensemble for the Christmas Program (7-12 grade)

We will have one rehearsal on Sunday, December 8, from 6:30-7:30 pm

Vocal Girl’s Ensemble (7-12 grade)

We rehearse each Sunday at 10:45 am in the lower level. We also plan to have an additional rehearsal. Watch for details on this extra rehearsal time.

Between services this morning, we will continue to read one of the prison letters written by the Apostle Paul.  While in such a difficult situation, he encourages the church at Philippi and teaches the church in every generation about the true source of thankfulness and joy.  You will add to our joy if you are able to be with us.

Fresh Brew

We continue our study “So the Next Generation Will Know” by Sean McDowell and J. Warner Wallace. This next generation, quite literally, has the potential to change the world. If you’re raising, grandparenting, mentoring or teaching Generation Z, the study, backed by the latest research with great ideas for activities and teaching is for you. You are invited to join us at 7:30 am for some Bible study, conversation and a cup of coffee. There is room for you around the table.
