WHO: St. Paul Lutheran Members, Family, and Friends
WHAT: The Luther500 Festival is a great mix of pilgrimage, touring, worship, learning, and service opportunities. This link will send you to their main site. http://www.luther500festival.com
WHY: 2017 is the 500th Anniversary of the Protestant Reformation kicked off by the nailing of 95 These to the Castle Church door in Wittenberg, Germany by Martin Luther. We will be staying at either the Hostel attached to the Castle Church or hotels in Wittenberg. There are choices for your accommodation. This trip is to enjoy a festival that is definitely NOT a simple tour. Your faith will be deepened, and relationships built. DO NOT MISS this once in a lifetime opportunity!
WHEN: June 18-26, 2017 (We will plan to have people get to Germany on their own to allow for maximum flexibility for travel outside of this event and preference in airline.)
WHERE: Germany! Wittenberg, where Luther primarily lived, taught, and preached is about 70 miles SW of Berlin. From there, the remaining Luther sites like Eisleben where he was born and died, Erfurt where he studied as an Augustinian monk, and The Wartburg Castle where he was in hiding for a time are West and South.
Promo Video: Here is a 2-minute video from the Luther500 Festival from 2013, while it is for a previous festival it is still largely accurate.
If you are interested in going to Germany, I know that there are many people leading guided tours. I can share some information about local pastors going in November 2016 or June 2017. Besides these two pastors, I will also lead a trip to Germany in 2017 for the Luther500 Festival. I would like you to join me June 18-26 for the Luther 500 Festival. View the presentation below, and if you are interested then please let me know (810-355-6517 or firstname.lastname@example.org). I need some idea of who is interested in going pretty quickly. I know that this is two years away, but rooms will fill up in Wittenberg.

In October, Christi and I went to Germany as a part of a 7 day cultural immersion experience organized by the band Lost and Found. During the Education Hour on November 1, I shared a presentation of our trip. The presentation had some pictures from our trip. The presentation also has some information for people interested in going with me in 2017. Below is the presentation.
