Building in the Promise

Vision

St. Paul Lutheran Church has an opportunity in our community to connect people to Jesus, to each other, and to serve the needs of the world.

The promise from Jesus as we go throughout the world and make disciples of all nations is that He will be with us always. We are going to build our community in that promise. In an increasingly disconnected and discouraged world the people of St. Paul Lutheran Church are going to reach into our community with words and deeds that are filled with the promise that Jesus loves us from death to life.

Building on the promise, we are proposing a three-phase master plan. This plan involves a family life center, a new sanctuary, and an education wing that could be used as an early childhood center. The church is not going to be this building program. The church is built on the foundation of Jesus Christ. These three phases are designed to support our community as we reach out with the good news of life in Jesus.

I’ve been wondering for some time, that instead of trying to complete Phase 1 all in one step, we should begin constructing, as an example, the new entrance first. This would allow members to see and unstand the design, the beauty, and the potential that this building program will eventually become. So, as “one part” of the Phase 1 project is completed another part is started or is already well underway.

To receive support from members, it is important that they understand what we are trying to accoumplish in the long run. By rasing the funds and building as we go, the cost can be spread over a longer period of time and people can start to use the new facilities sooner.
